Born in Gauteng in 1992, Mdlalose joined the MIDM family in 2013 and was invited to join the
Professional Company in 2016.
His performances include the Edudance works in Global Warming; a Solo work at the Sibikwa Dance Festival; JHC Rent Awareness Campaign by Jabulane Nyandeni; “Redizio Carnival” by Jennae Swart; “Misconduct” at The Dance Umbrella; The Nedbank Soccer Launch; Jägermeister Promotion; The Festival of Fame; Rejuvenation Newtown Festival; Legal Wise Corporate Event; National Arts Festival in Grahamstown and the Grahamstown Schools Festival. He was part of “Of Hounds & Men”, performed at Impact No.1 and Impact No.2 at the Joburg Theatre, and Sunnyboy Motau’s “We Are Still Marching”. In 2015 he toured with MIDM in Jessica Nupen, Sunnyboy Motau and Oscar Buthelezi’s iconic co-production, “Romeo & Juliet: Rebellion & Johannesburg”, which travelled to Germany and Italy.
His other performances include: “Africa Day Concert Newtown”; Sunnyboy Motau’s “We Are Still Marching”; Workshops for Afrikera Arts Trust in Harare; “Keeping Score”; Hilton Arts Festival; Kimberley Dance Pages 2016; and at the 969 Launch at Wits in Braamfontein. Mdlalose also performed at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, in Rachel Erdos and Sunnyboy Motau’s “Feathers…”, and in “BOLERO”, choreographed for MIDM by Alfred Hinkel. At the start of 2017 he toured Paris with Robyn Orlin’s “Beauty Remained….”
